I have had endometriosis for over 10 years and already had 2 laparotomies and 1 laparoscopy under my belt by the time I found Dr Mangal. I was having excruciating pain for over a year and was unable to do many of the things I used to do. I even quit my job for one that is less labor-intensive. My general gyn advised against surgery, but I wanted a second opinion from a specialist. When I saw Dr Mangal, he informed me of my current condition- severe stage 4 endometriosis and total frozen pelvis- and educated me about the disease. I learned more about myself from dr mangal than any other doctor I'd seen. I had to have 2 surgeries by Mangal; one laparoscopy and then a laparotomy because the endometriosis was so severe. They both went incredibly smoothly compared to my previous surgeries. I am now 3 months post - op and feeling great. He also informed me of another condition I had so I could get treatment for those symptoms as well. No one else ever bothered to look for other conditions, but Mangal knows the complications that are related to endometriosis. If i needed surgery again, I would definitely go back to his office. His staff is also great and very helpful. Yes, the office is quite busy, but he sees a lot of patients. The wait is totally worth it.
